The Jefferson Symphony Orchestra performs a concert in Wheat Ridge Colorado, in March.
Our March concert features Samuel Vargas, winner of Jefferson Symphony’s 2019 Young Artist Competition. At just 22, Mr. Vargas stands out as a disciplined musician and charismatic performer. Samuel Vargas debuts and performs his winning selection, Sibelius’ Violin Concerto, with Jefferson Symphony Orchestra. Selections from ballet and opera scores, jubilant melodies from the Cinderella Suite (Prokofiev) and the always-rousing Prelude to Die Meistersinger (Wagner) complement JSO program repertoire. Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors—discounts for students and children.

The 2017 Winner of the Jefferson Symphony International Young Artists Competition, Kamalia Freyling, will perform the technically challenging Clarinet Concerto by Ida Gotkovsky. Kamalia performs this impressive piece with grace and precision. Also on the program is Jean Sibelius’ beautiful Symphony No. 1 in E Minor. Come experience the dedication and passion of this 75-member orchestra.

The Jefferson Symphony Orchestra performs a Recital at the Golden First United Methodist Church in Golden Colorado in April.
Join the Jefferson Symphony Orchestra at their Season-Closing concert for an Arabian Night. Journey into the night’s centerpiece of Scheherazade, a dazzling, colorful orchestration that will transport you to a time of fantasy and legends. The classic 1962 movie Lawrence of Arabia will have highlights of its soundtrack performed by the symphony as well. Lastly, Bacchanale from the biblical story Samson and Delilah is the frenzied and exciting conclusion to the night. The Evergreen Winterfest takes place in Evergreen High School in Evergreen Colorado in November.
This wonderful Evergreen CO Event is a one day craft and handmade gifts fair – get all of your holiday shopping done at once!
The event celebration also includes perfomances by the Evergreen Chorale and the Evergreen Children’s Chorale.

The Jefferson Symphony Orchestra presents the International Young Artists Competition Recital at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities in Arvada Colorado in January.
The top three winners of the Jefferson Symphony International Young Artists Competition will perform their selected piano concertos in recital. The evening performance will follow a full day of competition for 12 finalists. Finalists will compete for the top prize of a $5,000 annuity and the opportunity to perform in concert with the Jefferson Symphony Orchestra at a March concert. Cash prizes will also be awarded to the top three finalists. Tickets for the evening recital can be purchased through the Arvada Center. The public is welcome to attend the competition throughout the day, 10:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. for free.

| The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace is a performance that takes place at the Lincoln Center in Ft Collins Colorado in April.Composed in 1999, The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace became a worldwide sensation with over 1,000 performances in its first decade of publication and record cd sales. With texts from the traditional Latin mass, the Muslim call to prayer, the Psalms, and select poets, The Armed Man takes the listener on a journey from the cacophony of war to a resounding message of hope and peace. Now, for the first time in the Rocky Mountain Region, The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace will be performed in its entirety. Don’t miss this powerful and moving premiere!
