The Edelweiss Oktoberfest celebration takes place in Morrison Colorado in August.

German bands: Continentals, Rhinelanders, Average German band.  2 Dance groups: Schuhplattlers, Volkstanzgruppe, in a beautiful outdoor pavilion.  We are next to ponds for the perfect setting.  We will have activities for young and old.  Home cooked German food.  Beer from Prost Brewing, and Andeches.  It will be the perfect way to spend the day.  Times: 29th 12pm-11(ish) pm   &  30th 12 pm-5(ish) pm.  On Sunday we will have a fruehschoppen at noon.  We will have happy hour and food specials throughout the weekend.

Buffalo Bill Days is a large week-long series of event celebrations in Golden Colorado dedicated to honoring the great Buffalo Bill Cody and Golden’s rich historical past.

The Buffalo Bill Days parade is one of the Denver metro area’s largest, bringing tens of thousands of excited spectators to the downtown Golden area – helping celebrate and take in Golden’s “small town” feel.

The festival itself includes artisans and vendors selling an array of gifts, food, drinks, treats, clothing, and more.  Buffalo Bill Day attendees enjoy wonderful live music and performances, while children will love the carnival games and exciting rides, bouncey inflatables, and more.

The Jefferson Symphony Orchestra performs a concert at the Colorado School of Mines Green Center in Golden Colorado in May.

The Jefferson Symphony Orchestra and the Evergreen Chorale combine talents to bring to life the magnificent Brahms Ein deutsches Requiem (a German Requiem).

As one of Brahms most notable works, this beautiful composition seeks to comfort the living and those who must deal with and accept death.

Our guest soloists will be Kara Guggenmos, lyric soprano, and Steven Taylor, bass baritone.

Also on the program is Debussy’s Nocturnes inspired by three impressionist paintings by Whistler.

The Jefferson Symphony Orchestra performs a Recital at the Golden First United Methodist Church in Golden Colorado in April.

Join the Jefferson Symphony Orchestra at their Season-Closing concert for an Arabian Night.  Journey into the night’s centerpiece of Scheherazade, a dazzling, colorful orchestration that will transport you to a time of fantasy and legends.  The classic 1962 movie Lawrence of Arabia will have highlights of its soundtrack performed by the symphony as well.   Lastly, Bacchanale from the biblical story Samson and Delilah is the frenzied and exciting conclusion to the night.  Our guest conductor, Alan Yost, will guide the orchestra through music that is enjoyable for all ages.  Tickets are available at www.Jeffsymphony.org or call 303-278-4237.

The Winner of the Jefferson Symphony International Young Artists Competition, Kamalia Freyling, will perform the technically challenging Clarinet Concerto by Ida Gotkovsky. Kamalia performs this impressive piece with grace and precision. Also on the program is Jean Sibelius’ beautiful Symphony No. 1 in E Minor.  Come experience the dedication and passion of this 75-member orchestra.
